Hi, I am Reverend Ted Tham. I have been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. I have been the Lead Pastor of English Ministry at GCGCNY since 2017. I graduated from Engineering at the Univ. of Toronto, worked for several years in the computer industry, got my M.Div. degree from Ontario Theological Seminary (now Tyndale) and then a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree (focusing on small groups) from Fuller Seminary. I have been married to Melody (a public school teacher) since 1994. We have two adult sons – Joshua and Caleb.

My name is Michelle Kim and I have been serving at GCGCNY since 2017. Serving at GCGCNY is a blessing of experiencing His favour and grace. My passion is to teach the Word of God and watch people being transformed to be His disciples. One of my joys is to serve people with my Korean dishes and watch them enjoying it.

Greetings in the Lord! I am Eva Poon, the Children’s Pastor at GCGCNY. The Lord had called me to start serving here in 2019, and I have loved worshipping here from day one. I feel so very blessed to be part of an amazing pastoral team, as we seek the Lord together every time we gather. As well, I am really grateful for all the devoted ministry leaders in this church, especially those helping with the Children’s Ministry. I love my dear Lord, desiring to share His love, praise His name, and learn His Word with everyone, especially with children and families. Hi, my name is Santos Chan and I’m the Pastoral Assistant of the English Ministry at GCGCNY. I graduated with a Mental Health Studies degree at University of Toronto and worked two years with Power 2 Change-Students at York University before completing my M.Div at Tyndale to become a pastor. I’m newly married to my wife Jennifer Yu in 2023. I love spending my free time lifting heavy weights, playing video games, and catching up with friends over food.

Greetings, my name is Edwina Luu and I serve as the English congregation deaconess for our Children’s Ministry (KLS) and am part of our Church Board. I attended GCGCNY since year 2000 and have experienced God’s amazing love, grace and work in my personal life and in our church. It is a blessing to serve here with my family and my heart is to see all ages experience and learn about Jesus! I am a teacher, enjoy being a mom, being part of eco-initiatives, lending a helping hand, and spending time with my family.

I’ve devoted myself to serve our Lord with my utmost ability given to me by Him. I’m semi-retired now in my secular business. My hobbies include skiing, tennis, traveling, and many other exercises, but I enjoy running the most.

Jessica Leung serves as deaconess of Student Zone and Women’s ministry for the English congregation and has been serving as an adult leader in youth ministry since 2014. Over the years, Jessica has been blessed to see God’s great faithfulness in growing our students and has a passion for seeing young leaders find their voice in the body of Christ. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys honing her skills in illustration, rock climbing, and walking her cats.

Hi there, I’m Wilson, and I’ve been serving as the Production Coordinator for our church since 2009. Our production and media teams keep worship services running behind the scenes and create digital content that brings people closer to God. I also serve as an adult leader in our vibrant student ministry, Genesis. I’m a bit of a tech enthusiast and love 3D printing, tinkering with electronics, and even the occasional video game. These hobbies keep me grounded and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our community both on and off the stage.

Hi, I am Xiao and I serve as the English deacon for the Worship ministry and the Media Ministry. I’ve called GCGC my home since 1999 starting as a youth in Genesis. I am a father of 1 and husband to a wonderful wife, and an Architect by trade. My passion and joy is to see our congregation live a full and worshipful life in all they do, and to encourage ways in which our congregation can use art, music and media to glorify and serve God and deepen their relationship with God.
